Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties (Opt-out)

ALBACONNECT Inc. (the "Company") provides personal data to third parties through its company information service "imiQuery" as set out below, pursuant to Article 27, Paragraph 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan. At the request of the person concerned, the Company will stop providing personal data that identifies that person to third parties.

  2. 2. Provision to third parties as a purpose of use

    One of the Company's purposes of use is to compile publicly available information about company officers and heads of departments into a database and provide it, through the Company's company information service "imiQuery", to client companies (corporations) for the purposes of selecting sales prospects, verifying business partners and preparing for business meetings.

  3. 3. Items of personal data provided

    Name, company, department, job title, timing of appointment or transfer, summary of published career history, published business contact details (department telephone numbers and business email addresses), and the source of the information (URL)

  4. 4. Method of obtaining personal data

    We obtain the data from websites published by the companies themselves (such as company profiles, officer introductions, organisation pages and news releases), including automated collection that follows robots.txt and other access restrictions; from press release distribution sites; and from information published by public authorities, such as the Official Gazette, commercial registrations and securities reports.

    Personal data that we received from other business operators through an opt-out procedure is not included in what we provide.

  5. 5. Method of provision to third parties

    The data is provided for viewing by logged-in users on the screens of a web service (imiQuery) that only corporations with a service agreement can access.

  6. 6. Stopping provision at the request of the person concerned

    At the request of the person concerned, the Company will stop providing personal data that identifies that person to third parties.

  7. 7. How requests are received

    Requests are received through the channels below. After confirming the identity of the requester, we will promptly stop the provision and notify the requester when it is complete.

    The form and email are available at all times (we respond on weekdays, 10:00–18:00 JST). Requests are not accepted by telephone.

  8. 8. Method of updating personal data

    We re-collect the public information regularly (about once a month) and update the data by matching it against existing records. Information removed from its source is updated or deleted at the next re-collection.
